The very conventional looking bowler-hatted man who disappears into the back of a fancy dress shop has some amazing adventures. When Mr Benn visits the little fancy dress shop, he enters a fantastical world of adventure as if by magic. This time he spots a khaki outfit he'd like to try, and as soon as he puts it on, he finds himself transported to a mysterious jungle full of snakes, elephants and hunters. And don't worry... 'The elephants were untouched and when the shooting finished they walked happily away. Mr Benn scolded the hunters as if they had been naughty.' With intricate artwork, the colour images have an almost 3D effect and the line art pen and ink drawings simply delightful.
