All prices are in £ sterling and include UK VAT at the appropriate rate. Delivery charges are not included in the prices quoted. We accept most major credit and debit cards : Visa/Delta, Switch/Maestro, Mastercard/Eurocard. Unfortunately we are unable to accept American Express cards online - if you wish to pay with an Amex card, please call our sales line on 0207 474 2474.
Payment is taken once we have established that we can fulfil your order, checked details and stock availability and despatched your goods. We do not charge your credit or debit card until we dispatch your order.
Cheques for mail orders should be made payable to Bibliophile Books.
Will overseas customers please note that we are very happy to accept payment by means of Visa, Barclaycard, Access, Mastercard credit cards and Switch, Maestro or Delta debit cards. We regret we can not accept payment with Canadian or Republic of Ireland Postal Orders, American Express, Electron or Solo cards
We have always charged less for postage than the actual cost for us. We have a flat rate agreement for every parcel, no matter how big or small. We charge only £3.50 per order to mainland UK customers for any number of books.
Books are of such a heavy weight that the carriers charge accordingly. Bibliophile has deliberately always subsidised all transportation costs. We aim to maintain this policy without charging for the printed mail order catalogue itself and to cross-subsidise costs.
Eire, a flat rate of £8 per order.
72hr Express delivery (from despatch of the order) within mainland UK is also available at £9.50 per order.
Overseas Delivery Costs
In addition to the £3.50 handling charge, please calculate the amount to be paid, depending on the destination country and number of books ordered.
If you are ordering goods for delivery outside of the EU, please note that your consignment may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the goods reach the country of destination.
After-Sales Services and Guarantees
All books supplied on approval (except overseas). We will gladly accept the return at your expense, within seven days of receipt, of any books you do not wish to keep for a full refund.Should there be anything wrong with your order we will rectify this. Please report any errors in your order in the same period, enclosing packing note. You will receive a credit to your account. No overseas returns accepted.
The goods must be returned in saleable condition at your expense and we would recommend for your own protection that you use a recorded delivery service.
Discount codes and promotions cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. By placing an order with us you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to the Terms and Conditions.
All dates quoted for delivery are estimated delivery dates only and may be subject to change. We can accept no liability for any loss or damage (whether direct or indirect) if delivery takes place at any time other than the estimated date for delivery.
Gift Vouchers cannot be exchanged or refunded for cash. Gift Vouchers can be used towards the purchase of goods at a higher price than its face value upon payment of the difference.
