Fleetwood Mac emerged from the seminal blues band led by John Mayall, the Bluesbreakers, in which guitarist Peter Green, drummer Mick Fleetwood and bass player John McVie all participated before forming their own outfit in 1967. Their debut album climbed to UK number four and the instrumental single Albatross hit the number one spot. They were late joined by American guitarist-vocalist Lindsey Buckingham and his partner, vocalist Stevie Nicks. First came the bestselling album Fleetwood Mac in 1975 which was followed in 1977 by the release of their supreme triumph Rumours, one of the most successful albums of all time, which controversially focussed on the traumatic personal relationships within the band alongside a drug-fuelled lifestyle. Fleetwood Mac were considered the personification of rock star decadence. Later albums like Tango in the Night in 1987 kept the band in the upper echelons of rock aristocracy. This magnificent compendium is an essential, illustrated, song-by-song story, packed with great photos and images you will never have seen before, right up to more recent reunions in 2018.
