MAUDE WHITE    Book Number: 89671    Product format: Hardback

With an X-Acto knife, artist Maude White carves out impossibly delicate and exquisitely detailed renderings of beautiful birds. Facing the dedication page 'This journal belongs to' is a jet black page with a cutaway arch of trees, framing a silhouette of a flying bird on the pale grey endpaper opposite. The 144 ruled page, lay-flat journal has gilt edged pages, a satin pagemarker and delicately embossed white and gold foil design of the feathers of a bird's wing on the front cover which is black and slightly textured. Inside the hard cover journal are the artworks of beautiful birds and a short description of each, such as the wading jacana on her long slender legs, walking lightly with surety and grace, the great blue heron, the toucan, the swift (for wanderlust), the nuthatch (for curiosity) and so on. Exquisite silhouette style fine illustration on grey or black pages, a good size, elegant and lovely quality paper. 14 x 21.6cm or A5.
