RE: Exceeded expectations...Ode To Bibliophile

Ode to Bibliophile

Bring in the post
It's the catalogue
Bookworm's delight
for me and my mog
Leave all the housework
It can wait 'till tomorrow
Oh, for the pleasure
That I know will follow
Plethora of books I'd love to read
Heaps and heaps I'm sure I need
If I win the Lottery
Look no further It'll be mine
Entering your store
With my cat Kitty
Both on the lose in London City
But for now here is my list
A varied choice not to be missed!

Possibly hated by bank managers

by Margaret Usmar -

Their catalogue, unless viewed online, arrives in newspaper form. Thus it is easy to sink back on the sofa with and, before you know it, mentally spend a fortune as you add up the many titles you want. This is followed by realistic pruning of the list, which may not please the bank mananger but may possibly save the bookshelves from collapse.

Excellent value for money, books you won't find anywhere else because they are out of print, and great staff. What more could you want?

Bibliophile's PDFs are fully searchable

This pdf version of your catalogue is excellent. It's taken me seconds to search for the stuff I want and there are several things I would have missed just studying the hard copy.

Thanks and keep them coming!

Amazon exploration

My latest parcel arrived last week, and I'm already well into the 3rd book from the assortment I ordered.
Surfing the Net at the weekend I idly thought I'd check the price of this book on Amazon, home of low prices on so many goods.

Then I had the, to me, brilliant idea of doing a price comparison on the whole Bibliophile parcel....so I got out the invoice and started trawling throught the Amazon site.
Unfortunately there were two books which I couldn't find in their lists, so to make it a fair comparison I deducted the price of those books from the Bibliophile invoice.
The result was quite surprising.
Well perhaps not as surprising as you would think......
The total for my Bibliophile parcel of 11 books, including post and packing was £38.80
Take off the two books Amazon didn't have and the total came down to £34.55.
The total for the 9 books, with free post and packing, from Amazon was.............£72.02.
So, buying my books via Bibliophile saved me a whopping £37.47!!!!!!
This just goes to prove that Bibliophile really does offer "Britain's best postal book bargains"........but you already knew that, didn't you?!

It's great that I can save so much buying from Bibliophile, the money I save can go towards buying a new bookcase to house all the books I order from you!
Keep up the good work.
Thanks for some great reads,
Jeff Brewer

thanks for excellent packing

Just a line to say - parcel received, with thanks for excellent packing.

As usual some of the books are particularly pleasing with regard to quality and/or binding. The "Art of the Bookplate" especially was a great surprise and the "Vintage Yachts" book an absolute bargain for a fabulous coffee table book on the subject.

Thanks

From the monthly paper to oyur lovely staff, the quality and cost of your books, everything is first class. I would recommend your company to anybody.
