2017 - A new office, a new chapter

We at Bibliophile love the river Thames! This is our 5th location in a 5 miles radius in 40 years!

On August 1st 2017 Bibliophile was welcomed into Docklands’ most exciting arts quarter.

Telephone, website and emails remain the same.

Located at the mouth of the River Lea and the Thames, this historical wharf is home to London's only Lighthouse.

It's now a thriving centre exclusively for arts and creative industries and boasts unrivalled views of the river Thames, O2 Arena and Docklands skyline.  It's a 3 acre site, with art installations to see, a pier, the fabulous, friendly Orchard Cafe, Fat Boys American Diner, a parquere training school, the Royal Drawing School and even a real kids' school, Faraday School!

Nearby will soon be the English National Ballet, the London Film School on City Island to add to the existing Bow Creek ecology park.

Trinity Buoy Wharf was the London base for the manufacture and maintenance of navigational buoys.  It is open to the public. Signs of the maritime heritage remain in the historic buildings and the 1864 Lighthouse. The Faraday Effect there is one of London's smallest museums which documents in an interactive way the life and times of Michael Faraday. The TBW Trust is a charity which funds many artists and sculptors many of whom you can see honing their skills in their workshops. One quarter of our company rent goes directly to the Charity.

Permanent art installations to see include London’s First Public Moon and Tide Clock, ‘ALUNATIME’ by artist Laura Williams, Sub Series and Slugmarines by the Café and the bright red Lightship recording studio

and The Ascenda 1977 by the Trinity Jubilee Pier, right next to our new offices, where the river boat catamarans are moored. Many old boats are in restoration and old industry meets new technology in this exciting location.

It's an amazing Container City where live/work artists mix with businesses based here like Bibliophile Books. View from our windows...
